One thing that’s been interesting about this TSW journey is so much of my research into health and wellness is coming back to pay dividends. I see TSW mostly as a fight against ourselves. We need to challenge ourselves to be as healthy as possible so that we can beat the TSW. If we can return our body’s to perfect health, TSW is just one of many things our body will cleanse itself of.
One thing I started doing a few years ago is oil pulling. Oil pulling is basically using natural oils as a mouthwash. What happens is you swish the oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes, and it will collect all the bacteria that has collected in your mouth over the night. It will also hydrate your gums.
It is similar to the concept of mouthwash, only mouthwash is full of chemicals, and natural oil isn’t.
You can use any extra virgin oil, but my favourite to use is coconut (avocado and olive are good too).
How to do it? Just take a tablespoon and put it in your mouth. Swish it around like mouthwash for 15-20 minutes. When you’re done, SPIT IT OUT. It is full of nastiness so you definitely do not want to swallow it.
You also do not want to spit it down the sink, as it can clog your pipes if you do it every day. Spit it in the garden, or down the toilet.
Now is this going to completely heal your TSW? No. But removing all that bacteria from your body might get you 1% closer to healing. Luckily for us, this is a game of inches. 1% is something 🙂
Keep fighting!
